Welcome to the End Times

And if his Evil Minions succeed in pulling this off, allow me to be the first to congratulate the Prince of Darkness on his re-election.

Even if Kerry wins, I'm completely embarrassed on behalf of the United States that it was even this close.

One possible silver lining: now I see the potential of going into direct sales of some kind. Apparently there are 58,010,991 (by CNN's current count) suckers who are so gullible, so ignorant, so willing and able to have the wool pulled over their eyes that they'll buy literally anything.

I think there should be a new bumper sticker:

Regime change begins at church.

It looks like GWB will be elected largely on his "moral" stances, ie, Anti-Abortion and Anti-Gay Marriage. CNN exit polls show that 22% said their number one issue was moral values. Of these, 79% voted for Bush. That is 17.4% of the voters(approx. 20 million) voting Anti-Abortion and Anti-Gay Marriage.

Well now, *that* was a petulant comment. I'm not even
willing to say that the 48% that voted for Kerry were
completely duped, I just think they were wrong to believe a single word out of his mouth, including "the", "a", and in particular, "is" :-).

If you go into direct sales, I suggest you target the
54,782,697 that voted for John Kerry, not the 58,301,150 that voted for Bush. I don't think you'll get very far trying to fool the Bushies, but the Kerry folk will believe anything.

Allow me to clarify. All politicians are liars, almost by definition. Bush is a liar. Kerry is a liar. Fine. BUT! There's a big difference between the sort of base-level amount of untruth we've all come to expect from politicians, and the huge heaping helping of additional deception that we've had for the last four years.

In other words, one could say Kerry's a liar, look at his campaign and his record in the Senate, so he'll probably continue to fudge facts and bend truths as President. But in Bush's case, we have a full one-term record of what an unapologetic deceiver he is.

At least, that's how I see it. Apparently, 58,527,226 (latest count) people don't see it that way. Including you, Right-Winger. So, wanna buy some Ohio swampland I know of?

P.S. How about that Big Bad Liberal Media? You know, like CNN's headline all day so far, "BUSH CAMP CERTAIN OF WIN"? Why not, "KERRY CAMP CERTAIN OF WIN"? If you asked them, they'd probably say they were. How about just say, "ONE SIDE'S OPINION PRESENTED AS FACT"? Whatever, the American media is a bullshit factory in its own right. As a liberal though, I sure as hell don't think the media's been on my side any time in recent memory.
